MAWGAN-in-MENEAGE, a parish in the hundred
of KERRIER, county of CORNWALL, 4 miles
(B. S. E.) from Helston, containing 1050 inhabitants.
The living is a rectory, with that of St. Martin, in the
archdeaconry of Cornwall, and diocese of Exeter, .rated
in the king's books at £35. 10. 2. Sir M. Blakiston,
Bart, and others were patrons in 1816. The church is
dedicated to St. Mogun. There is a place of worship
for Wesleyan Methodists.
