MILFORD (SOUTH), a township in the parish of
SHERBURN, partly within the liberty of ST-PETER-of-YORK,
but chiefly in the upper division of the wapentake
of BARKSTONE-ASH, West riding of the county of
YORK, 4 miles (N. by E.) from Ferry-Bridge, containing
631 inhabitants. There is a place of worship for
Wesleyan Methodists.
