MITCHEL-TROY, a parish in the upper division of the hundred of RAGLAND, county of MONMOUTH, 2f miles (S. W.) from Monmouth, containing 305 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, with the perpetual curacy of Cwmcarvan, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Llandaff, rated hi the king's books at £12. 8. 1., and in the patronage of the Duke of Beaufort. The church i« dedicated to St. Michael.
