MOULSEY (EAST), a parish in the first division of the hundred of ELMBRIDGE, county of SURREY, 3 miles (B.N.E.) from Walton upon Thames, containing 526 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry of Surrey, and diocese of Winchester, and in the patronage of the Provost and Fellows of King's College, Cambridge. The parish is bounded on the north by the Thames, and on the west by the river Mole. John Winkins, in 1779, founded a school, and endowed it with £400, for teaching twelve poor children. Here are three almshouses, the origin of which is unknown.
