MOULSOE, a parish in the hundred of NEWPORT, county of BUCKINGHAM, 3 miles (S..E. by E.) from Newport-Pagnell, containing 260 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Buckingham, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £16. 16. 3., and in the patronage of Lord Carrington. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The river Lovet runs through the parish. There is a free school for poor children, founded, in 1719, by the Countess of Northampton, and endowed with about £10 per annum.
