MOULTON, a parish in the hundred of SPELHOE,
county of NORTHAMPTON, 4 miles (N. N. E.) from
Northampton, containing, with the extra-parochial liberty
of Moulton Park, 1072 inhabitants. The living
is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Northampton,
and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the king's books
at £14. 3. 9., and in the patronage of the Rev. W.
Stanton. The church, dedicated to St. Peter and St.
Paul, is partly in the Norman style of architecture.
There are places of worship for Baptists and Wesleyan
Methodists.
