MOULTON, a parish in the hundred of RISBRIDGE county of SUFFOLK, 3 miles (E. by N.) from Newmarket, containing 312 inhabitants. The living comprises a rectory and a vicarage, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the Archbishop of Canterbury, the former rated in the king's books at £13. 6. 8., and the latter at £4. 7. si, and in the patronage of the Master and Fellows of Christ's College, Cambridge. The church is dedicated to St. Peter.
