county of WILTS, 5 miles (N. by W.) from Amesbury,
containing, with the tything of
Chisenbury, 464 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
vicarage, in the peculiar jurisdiction and patronage
of the Prebendary of Netheravon in the Cathedral
Church of Salisbury, rated in the king's books at
£13. 6. 8. The church is dedicated to All Saints.
