NETTLEHAM, a parish in the wapentake of LAWRESS, parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 3 miles (N.E. by N.) from Lincoln, containing 572 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the arch- deaconry of Stow, and diocese of Lincoln, and in the patronage of the Chancellor of the Cathedral Church of Lincoln. The church is dedicated to All Saints. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. A school for poor children is supported by subscription. A court leet and a court baron are held here annually, about Lady-day. The bishops of Lincoln had formerly a palace here, the foundations of which are still discernible.
