CORNILO, lathe of ST-AUGUSTINE, county of KENT, 2
miles (W.) from Deal, containing 757 inhabitants. The
living is a vicarage, with the perpetual curacy of Sholden
in the archdeaconry and diocese of Canterbury, rated in
the king's books at £12. 11. 8., and in the patronage
of the Archbishop of Canterbury. The church is dedi,
cated to St. Augustine. Here are the remains of an
ancient chapel.
