NORTON, a parish in the hundred of BLACKBOURN,
county of SUFFOLK, 3 miles (S. E. by S.) from Ixworth,
containing 691 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in
the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and diocese of Norwich,
rated in the king's books at £14. 3. 9., and in the
patronage of the Master and Fellows of St. Peter's
College, Cambridge. The church is dedicated to St.
Andrew.
