NUNWICK, a township, joint with Howgrave, in
that part of the parish of RIPON which is in the liberty
of RIPON, West riding of the county of YORK, 2 miles
(N. N. E.) from Ripon, containing, with Howgrave, 28
inhabitants. Here were formerly five stones, each eight
feet high, and twenty in girt, enclosing a circular area.
