OUSDEN, a parish in the hundred of RISBRIDGE, county of SUFFOLK, 6 miles (E. S. E.) from Newmarket, containing 331 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Sudbury, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £10. 3. 9., and in the patronage of the Rev. J. T. Hand. The church is dedicated to St. Peter. Richard Moseley, in 1743, gave £10 a year as a salary to a master for teaching twenty children.
