PADDLESWORTH, a parish in the hundred of LONINGBOROUGH, lathe of SHEPWAY, county of KENT, 3 miles (N.W.) from Folkestone, containing 44 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, with that of Stamford, annexed to the vicarage of Lyminge, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the Archbishop of Canterbury. The church, dedicated to St. Oswald, is in the early style of English architecture.
