PALGRAVE, a parish in the hundred of HARTISMERE,
county of SUFFOLK, 1 mile (S.) from Diss, containing
654 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, annexed
to the vicarage of Sporle, in the archdeaconry of
Sudbury, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's
books at £19. 11. 3. The church, which was dedicated
to St. Peter, has been destroyed. There is a place of
worship for Unitarians.
