PAMBER, a parish in the hundred of BARTON-STAGEY,
Andover division, though locally in that of
Basingstoke, Basingstoke division, of the county of
SOUTHAMPTON, 4 miles (N. N.W.) from Basingstoke,
containing 409 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual
curacy, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Winchester,
and in the patronage of the Provost and Fellows
of Queen's College, Oxford.
