PANTEAGUE, a parish in the lower division of the
hundred of USK, county of MONMOUTH, 4 miles (W. S.
W.) from Usk, containing 1478 inhabitants. The living
is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese
of Llandaff, rated in the king's books at £7. 10. 2.,
and in the patronage of Capel Hanbury Leigh, Esq;
The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
