PEDMORE, a parish in the lower division of the hundred of HALFSHIRE, county of WORCESTER, 1 mile (S. by E.) from Stourbridge, containing 307 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Worcester, rated in the king's books at £9.10., and in the patronage of Lord Foley. The church, dedicated to St. Peter, is a very ancient structure, with some remains of Norman architecture. About 1699, a free school was founded and endowed with £6 per annum, by Thomas Foley, Esq.
