PIDDINGTON, a parish in the hundred of BALINGTON,
though locally in that of Ploughley, county
of OXFORD, 5 miles (S. E.) from Bicester, containing
859 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in
the archdeaconry and diocese of Oxford, and in the
patronage of the Parishioners. The church is dedicated
to St. Nicholas.
