PILLERTON-PRIORS, a parish in the Brails division of the hundred of KINGTON, county of WARWICK, 4 miles (S. W. by W.) from Kington, containing 211 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage of Pillerton-Hersey, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Worcester. The church, which was dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene, was burnt down in 1666. This place received the adjunct to its name from having formerly belonged to Kenilworth priory.
