PRESTON, a parish in the hundred of STONE,
county of SOMERSET, 1 mile (W.) from Yeovil, containing
317 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy,
annexed to the vicarage of Yeovil, in the archdeaconry
of Bath, and diocese of Bath and Wells. This
parish has the privilege of sending a certain number of
boys to the Yeovil charity school.
