QUADRING, a parish in the wapentake of KIRTON,
parts of HOLLAND, county of LINCOLN, 8 miles (N.
by W.) from Spalding, containing 704 inhabitants. The
living is- a discharged vicarage, united to that of Wigtoft,
in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated
in the king's books at £10. 1. 3. The church is dedicated
to St. Margaret. There are several endowments
for the education of children, the principal of which is
a rent-charge of £10, the gift of Thomas Cowling, in
1703.
