RAVENSTHORPE, a parish partly in the hundred
of GUILSBOROUGH, but chiefly in that of NOBOTTLEGROVE,
county of NORTHAMPTON, 9 miles (N.W.)
by N.) from Northampton, containing, with the hamlets
of Coaton and Teeton, 710 inhabitants. The living is
a vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and
diocese of Peterborough, rated in the king's books at
£11. 13. 4., and in the patronage of the Dean and
Canons of Christ Church, Oxford. The church is dedicated
to St. Denis. There is a place of worship for
Baptists.
