RICKINGHALL (INFERIOR), a parish in the
hundred of BLACKBOURN, county of SUFFOLK, half of a
mile (S.W. by W.) from Botesdale, containing 428 inhabitants.
The living is a discharged rectory, consolidated
with that of Rickinghall Superior, in the archdeaconry
of Suffolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the
king's books at £ 16. 5. 2. The church is dedicated
to St. Mary.
