RINGLAND, a parish in the hundred of EYNSFORD, county of NORFOLK, 7 miles (N. W. by W.) from Norwich, containing 286 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at and £3. 6. 0., endowed with £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Bishop of Ely. The church is dedicated to St. Peter j the east window exhibits some ancient stained glass, representing several persons kneeling before a crucifix, and underneath them labels with Latin inscriptions.
