county of OXFORD, 6 miles (N. E. by N.) from Woodstock,
containing 160 inhabitants. The living is a
rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Oxford,
rated in the king's books at £11. 9. 4. Sir C. C.
Dormer, Knt. was patron in 1804. The church is dedicated
to St. Mary.
