RUAN (MAJOR), a parish in the hundred of KERRIER,
county of CORNWALL, 8 miles (S. S. E.) from
Helston, containing 187 inhabitants. The living is a
rectory, in the archdeaconry of Cornwall, and diocese
of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £ 10. 10. 2., and
in the patronage of Philip Vivian Robinson, Esq. The
church is dedicated to St. Rumon.
