RUSHALL, a parish in the hundred of EARSHAM, county of NORFOLK, 3 miles (W.) from Harleston, containing 279 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £4, endowed with £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of Joseph Sewell, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. A farm-house here is called the Priory, from having once belonged to the priory of Buckenham.
