RYBURGH (GREAT), a parish in the hundred of GALLOW, county of NORFOLK, 4 miles (S/E. by E.) from Fakenham, containing 525 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, with the vicarage of Little Ryburgh, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £ 14. 16. 10. S. Clayton, Esq. was patron in 1820. The church, dedicated to St. Andrew, contains an altar-tomb, with several armorial bearings, but no inscription.
