RYSTON, a parish in the hundred of CLACKCLOSE,
county of NORFOLK, 1 mile (S. S. E.) from Downham-
Market, containing 25 inhabitants. The living is a
perpetual curacy, with that of Roxham, in the archdeaconry
of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, endowed
with £ 800 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the
Dean and Chapter of Norwich. The church is dedicated
to St. Michael.
