SALFORD, a parish in the hundred of CHADLINGTON,
county of OXFORD, 2 miles (W. N. W.) from Chipping-
Norton, containing 293 inhabitants. The living is
a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Oxford,
rated in the king's books at £9. 11. 3., and in the patronage
of the Rev. R. J. Skillicorne. The church is
dedicated to St. Mary.
