HORETHORNE, county of SOMERSET, 6 miles (N. E.)
from Yeovil, containing 332 inhabitants. The living is
a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Wells, and diocese of
Bath and Wells, rated in the king's books at £11.9- 9.
John Hutchins, Esq. was patron in 1816. The church
is dedicated to St. Nicholas. There is a place of worship
for Wesleyan Methodists.
