SARSDEN, a parish in the hundred of CHADLINGTON, county of OXFORD, 3 miles (S. W. by S.) from Chipping-Norton, containing 128 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Oxford, rated in the king's books at £8. 18. if. J. H. Langston, Esq. was patron in 1817. Ann Walker, in 1705, gave £600, now producing an annual income of £52. 10., for which twenty-four girls are educated.
