SAXHAM (LITTLE), a parish in the hundred of
THINGOE, county of SUFFOLK, 8 miles (W.) from Bury-
St. Edmund's, containing 202 inhabitants. The living
is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Sudbury, and diocese
of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £8.11. 5.,
and in. the patronage of Earl Cornwallis. The church
is dedicated to St. Nicholas.
