parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 5 miles
(N. N. W.) from Lincoln, containing 238 inhabitants.
The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry
of Stow, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's
books at £8. 16. 8., and in the patronage of Sir George
Cayley, Bart. The church is dedicated to St. John the
Baptist.
