SCARLE (NORTH), a parish in the lower division of the wapentake of BOOTHBY-GRAFFO, parts of KESTEVEN, county of LINCOLN, 10 miles (W. S. W.) from Lincoln, containing 434 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £4. 17. 3., and in the patronage of Lord Egremont. The church is dedicated to All Saints. There is a place of. worship for Wesleyan Methodists. The river Trent forms a boundary of this parish.
