SCRIVEN, a township, joint with Tentergate, in that
part of the parish of KNARESBOROUGH which is in the
lower division of the wapentake of CLARO, West riding
of the county of YORK, 1 mile (N. byW.) from Knaresborough,
containing, with Tentergate, 1373 inhabitants.
It is within the peculiar jurisdiction of the court of the
honour of Knaresborough.
