WANGFORD, county of SUFFOLK, 4 miles (S.) from
Beccles, containing 189 inhabitants. The living is a
discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and
diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at
£12, and in the patronage of Lord Braybrooke. The
church is dedicated to St. John the Baptist.
