SOUTHAMPTON, 4 miles (W. N. W.) from Romsey, containing
327 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the
archdeaconry and diocese of Winchester, rated in the
king's books at £6. 10. 2., and in the patronage of
R. Bristow, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Leonard.
