SHERRINGTON, a parish in the hundred of NEWPORT,
county of BUCKINGHAM, 1 mile (N. N. E.) from
Newport-Pagnell, containing 796 inhabitants. The living
is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Buckingham,
and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at
£20. 0. 2., and in the patronage of the Bishop of Lincoln.
The church is dedicated to St. Laud.
