SIBSON, a parish in the hundred of SPARKENHOE,
county of LEICESTER, 4 miles (W. S. W.) from Market-
Bosworth, containing, with the township of Upton, 378
inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry
of Leicester, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the
king's books at £15.' 18. llf., and in the patronage of
the Master and Fellows of Pembroke College, Oxford.
The church is dedicated to St. Botolph.
