SIDE, a parish in the hundred of RAPSGATE,
county of GLOUCESTER, 7 miles (E.) from Painswick,
containing 40 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in
the archdeaconry and diocese of Gloucester, rated in
the king's books at £3. 18. 4., endowed with £200
royal bounty. Joseph Pitt, Esq. was patron in 1813.
The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
