SOURTON, a parish in the hundred of LIFTON,
county of DEVON, 4 miles (S. W.) from Oakhampton,
containing 546 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual
curacy, annexed to the rectory of Bridestowe, in the
archdeaconry of Totness, and diocese of Exeter. The
church is dedicated to St. Thomas a Becket.
