West riding of the county of YORK, 4 miles (N.E. by E.)
from Otley, containing 364 inhabitants. The living is
a perpetual curacy, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the
court of the honour of Knaresborough, endowed with
£12 per annum private benefaction, and £400 royal
bounty, and in the patronage of the Vicar of Kirkby-
Overblows.
