STAINLEY (NORTH), a township, joint with Sleningford,
in that part of the parish of RIPON which is
in the liberty of RIPON, West riding of the county of
YORK, 4 miles (N. W. by N.) from Ripon, containing,
with Sleningford, 385 inhabitants. It is within the
peculiar jurisdiction of the Archbishop of York.
