STATFOLD, a parish in the southern division of the hundred of OFFLOW, county of STAFFORD, 3 miles (X.E.) from Tamworth, containing 29 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage of St. Mary, Lichfield, in the archdeaconry of Stafford, and diocese of Lichfield and Coventry. The church, now used only as a chapel for interment, is in decent repair. Statfold, under its ancient name Stotfold, is one of the prebends in the Cathedral Church of Lichfield, the revenues of which have been formed by act of parliament into a " Fabric Fund," for repairs, &c., no prebendary being appointed.
