STRETTON-upon-DUNSMOOR, a parish in the Rugby division of the hundred of KNIGHTLOW, county of WARWICK, 5 miles (W. by N.) from Dunchurch, containing, with the hamlet of Princethorpe, 760 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Coventry, and diocese of Lichfield and Coventry. The Rev. H. T. Powell was patron in 1817. The church is dedicated to All Saints. William Herbert, in 1694, bequeathed land, directing the rental to be applied to charitable purposes, among which £10. 10. is paid to a schoolmaster for teaching poor children.
