(S.E.) from Maidstone, containing 312 inhabitants-
The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage
of Sutton-Valence, in the archdeaconry and diocese
of Rochester. The church is dedicated to St. Peter
and St. Paul. The parish is crossed by the ridge W
hills bounding the Weald, of which its southern side
forms a part.
