SWEFLING, a parish in the hundred of PLOMESGATE,
county of SUFFOLK, 2 miles (W. N. W.) from
Saxmundham, containing 867 inhabitants. The living is
a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and diocese
of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £9. 2. 8. The
Rev. R. Turner was patron in 1813. The church is dedicated
to St. Mary.
