SYSTON, a parish in the wapentake of WINNIBRIGGS-and-THREO,
parts of KESTEVEN, county of
LINCOLN, 4 miles (N. N. B.) from Grantham, containing
188 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the
archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, endowed with
£400 private benefaction, and £200 royal bounty, and
in the patronage of Sir John H. Thorold, Bart. The
church is dedicated to St. Mary.
